The knife blade damask is forged from two different steel grades of AISI 4340 is a hard quenched and tempered steel having a low carbon content, in addition to nickel and chromium also contains molybdenum and has a high toughness, and from 15N20a nickel-containing steel with good properties, which generates beautiful bright parts and good contrast in processing in Damascus steel. Both steels together form the beautifully flamed damask steel. Each resulting forged piece has its distinctive drawing. The hardness is 58 to 60 HRC Rockwell.
