Brooklyn Crusher, Baseball Bat
A newspaper article describing how frequently baseball bats break and nearly injure the players in U.S. major league games caught the attention of Cold Steel’s President, Lynn C. Thompson. The article chronicled the debate over which bats are better, those made of ash, which are lighter and slightly flexible, or those made of maple, which are heavier and stiffer. Lynn then began to suspect there might be a market for a baseball bat that just couldn’t be broken.
As a first foray into the manufacturing of athletic equipment, Cold Steel now offers the Brooklyn Smasher® and the Brooklyn Crusher™.
Because they are precision injection-molded out of heavy-grade polypropylene, these bats just cannot break and are very durable. They will neither rot, crack, splinter nor fade. You do not need to worry about dirt or the weather affecting them either, as they are impervious to the elements and can be cleaned with soap and water.
They are versatile too. They can be used as warm-up bats, practice bats or inclement weather bats. They can also serve as cross-over training devices to develop strength, agility and eye-hand coordination for those studying Western Saber Fencing, Kendo, Kenjutsu, Filipino stick and sword fighting or Chinese martial arts.
Best of all, they make good economic sense. They are comparable in price to good wooden bats, but since they are unbreakable, they will last far longer than any wooden bat on the market.
The Brooklyn Smasher and the Brooklyn Crusher differ only in weight and size.
