Beskrivning
Medieval Leg Protection, Cuisses and Poleyns, 14th. c., 1.6 mm Steel
This wearable, fully articulated reconstruction of a late medieval leg armour as worn in the 14th century is crafted from 1.6 mm thick steel and blackened on the inside for better corrosion resistance. It is designed to protect the legs from the thighs to the upper shins.
The leg protections consist of poleyns (knee caps, also known as genouilleres), cuisses and short greaves connected together by two sliding plates that allow for proper freedom of movement. At the back, each leg is equipped with three adjustable leather straps with brass buckles for a comfortable, custom fit. An additional leather strap is riveted onto the upper edge of the cuisse for proper attachment to a belt.
Equally suited for historical re-enactment, LARP or costuming, these articulated leg guards are ideal for late medieval and Renaissance settings and will make your portrayal of a proud knight just perfect!
