Jaw Harp

The Jew´s harp is one of the oldest musical instruments in the world, which was and is used almost everywhere around the world, especially in folk music. The rhythmic drone and overtone instrument can be categorized into two different types: the bow-shaped and lamellate Jew´s harp.

The instrument offered here is a bow-shaped jaw harp. A characteristic feature of this type is the reed projecting beyond the frame.
