Burgonet helmet
The Burgonet developed at the beginning of the 16th century from the Sallet. Notably the Burgonet were used by infantry, later also the cavalry, and became one of the most common types of helmets of his time.
The offered reproduction has the characteristical crest and a curved tapering, decorated with brass-coloured rivets. The cheek pieces are decorated with brass elements and hinged to the helmet, allowing them to swing by almost 90 degrees upwards. The additional gorget is also decorated with brass elements and brass-coloured rivets, and get strapped to the wearerŽs chin and the helmetŽs cheeks.
