Beskrivning
The Lucerne Hammer, also named Falcons Beak, was used between the 14th and 16th century. It is a special form oft the war hammer, which combines three weapons at once: a point for thrusting, a hammer with pointy or sharp edges and a curved spike, also called beak.
The length oft the grip was at least 1.50 m.
The Lucerne hammer was often called Mordaxt. It was used by ground troops and ist purpose was to fight knights in plate armour.
Our replica is based on original findings from the 16th century. It is a rather simple construction with a punched spike, a slitted shaft mount and a split hammer.
Due to better dispatch the lucerne hammer is delivered without shaft. We recommend ash wood. The original has a total length of 195 cm.
