Bascinet Helmet without Visor, 2 mm steel
The Original of this battle-ready replica of a bassinet helmet without visor dates in the middle of the 14th century. This type of helmet evolved from the skull cap or cervelliere.
The helmet is handbeaten out 2 mm steel, welded togther from both sides. This manufacture is suitable for full-contact reenactment.
A comfortable, padded cloth liner is attached to the helmet. The brass rivets (vervelles) at the sides are for attachment of an aventail for chest and shoulders.
