Beskrivning
The Jack Chains Arm Protection is made from 1 mm thick steel with no sharp edges and therefore is safe for LARP weapons. It consists of several pieces that are connected through metal rings and can be attached to the arms of for example a gambeson with a lacing. Wear this armour and you are protected against sword blows or other impacts during a LARP battle without wearing heavy armour.
Jack Chains were an important part of the infantry in late medieval times as they were normally not protected by plate armour but wore a padded waistcoat (the so-called Gambeson). To protect the relatively exposed arm parts against sword blows these armour was fastened to the sleeves of the padded jacket.
